Georgia law prohibits gender discrimination in employment for private companies, and also has statutes covering public employers. The laws are not as extensive as those under the federal Guidelines on Discrimination Because of Sex. However, the regulations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) still apply to private employers.
