No provision for trip permits. All carriers must have the name and address on both cab doors, a working speedometer/odometer, or hubodometer and must purchase sufficient fuel on each trip to cover the miles traveled in Louisiana. Purchase receipts must be in driver’s possession when vehicle exits the state. Louisiana requires the receipts to list the date of delivery, number of gallons, type of fuel, and the total mileage of the vehicle (evidenced by odometer or hubodometer reading), and the state license number of the vehicle.
