Maine has adopted OSHA’s occupational safety and health standards. They are not necessarily identical to OSHA standards. Maine’s state plan covers state and local government workers; federal government workers and private sector employees are covered by federal OSHA. The state plan has no additional electrical safety in construction requirements.
