Federal regulations
North Dakota has adopted Part 392 of the Federal Regulations.
Applicability
Part 392 applies to intrastate commercial motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight, and gross combination weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, or a vehicle used to transport hazardous materials requiring a placard.
Speed limit
The speed limit on Interstate highways is 75 mph (day and night). The speed limit on multilane divided highways is 70 mph (day and night).
The speed limit on paved two lane highways is 65 mph (day and night) unless otherwise posted.
