Montana has adopted Part 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), as updated through March 26, 2025, with the exception of 391.11(b)(1).
Part 391 applies to commercial motor vehicles operated in intrastate commerce which have a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, or vehicles transporting hazardous materials.

| Driving Records | A request may be submitted using a “Release of Driving Records” form (34-0100) or a request may be submitted online via the Motor Vehicle Division website: https://mvdmt.gov/driving-records/ The fee is:- $4.12 per record
- $10.30 per certified record
- $3.09 additional for a digital file transfer or fax record
- $3.09 additional for a mailed copy (unless self-addressed stamped envelope is included)
