West Virginia follows the federal Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs). 

PFOA: 4 parts per trillion (ppt) 
PFOS: 4 ppt

The state has no specific PFAS drinking water requirements but is working to monitor and reduce PFAS levels in drinking water to align with federal standards. 

The PFAS Protection Act requires the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection to identify and address PFAS in raw water.
