Montana follows the federal Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs). 

PFOA: 4 parts per trillion (ppt) 
PFOS: 4 ppt

Montana has no state-specific PFAS drinking water requirements. The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) plans to adopt EPA’s MCLs for PFOA and PFOS into state rules.
