Florida follows the federal Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs).
Florida has no current state-specific enforceable MCLs for PFAS in drinking water.
If EPA hasn’t finalized its standards for PFAS by January 1, 2026, Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection will adopt by rule statewide cleanup target levels for PFAS with priority given to PFOA and PFOS.
