OSHA’s compliance directive (STD 1–7.3, September 11, 1990) at section “I. Interpretive Guidance” states that “the company lockout/tagout procedures required by the standard at 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4) shall specify the acceptable procedure for handling cord and plug connected equipment.”
