OSHA and the Department of Transportation (DOT) require that storage sites and areas for certain compressed gases be marked with placards indicating the presence of the gas, associated hazards, safety measures, and other warnings.
Additional labeling and marking requirements for certain compressed gases (e.g., hydrogen) are outlined in the applicable OSHA or DOT gas standards.
