Intrastate

Intrastate carriers transporting general commodities or mobile homes must obtain an application for a Certificate of Compliance, remit the application fee of $25, and file the appropriate insurance Form E, K, or H. Commercial vehicles of any weight are subject to authority requirements.

Insurance: Intrastate: 10,000 pounds or more GVW $750,000 CSL; less than 10,000 lb GVW $500,000 CSL. Form E required. HHG require $5,000/2,500 cargo; form H required.

South Carolina is a participating member of the Unified Carrier Registration Agreement (UCRA). Online registration and fee payment is recommended and available to all carriers at the national UCRA website at www.ucr.in.gov.
