The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division (Oregon OSHA) has adopted federal OSHA’s standard for hexavalent chromium by reference at OAR 437-002-0360. The exception is that Oregon OSHA did not adopt the exemption to chromium (VI) in pesticides. Federal OSHA includes this exemption because worker exposures for pesticides are regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPS). Oregon OSHA enforces the Worker Protection Standard in Oregon, and therefore, this exemption for pesticides does not apply.
