Overview
Applicability
The regulations are applicable to all intrastate motor carriers and all vehicles of intrastate motor carriers with a gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, gross vehicle weight , or gross combination weight over 10,000 pounds, to all intrastate motor carriers operating vehicles transporting a placardable amount of hazardous materials, and all drivers operating a commercial motor vehicle as defined in section 60-465 that requires a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Carriers and drivers exempted from the federal regulations in accordance with federal Sec. 390.3(f) are also exempted from the adopted regulations in Nebraska. There are also some exemptions for farm trucks and related vehicles.
