A summary of the additional requirements includes the following:
Exposed friable asbestos containing materials on ceilings, beams, pipes, boilers, tanks, and similar areas is to be repaired, replaced, removed, enclosed, or encapsulated. Employees are to be protected as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1001 or 1926.1101.
