In Oregon, a person may not drive a vehicle while:
- Holding a phone in their hand, or
- Using a phone for any purpose.
This prohibition does not apply to:
- Communication with law enforcement or other emergency services,
- Driving a public safety vehicle in the course of the person’s duties, or
- Use of a hands-free accessory.
