Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) operates a state plan that includes requirements beyond what is required by federal OSHA. For heat injury and illness prevention, MNOSHA sets two-hour time-weighted exposure limits as follows:
- Heavy work: 77 degrees Fahrenheit (as measured by wet bulb globe temperature index, or WGBT)
- Moderate work: 80 degrees Fahrenheit
- Light work: 86 degrees Fahrenheit
