In Delaware, a person may not drive a vehicle while using an electronic communication device.
This prohibition does not apply to:
- A law enforcement officer or other emergency services personnel;
- Communication with law enforcement or other emergency services;
- Engaging in a call with a hands-free electronic communication device;
- The activation or deactivation of hands-free equipment or a function of hands-free equipment; or
- Driving or operating an unregistered farm tractor, farm truck, or farm equipment.
