Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
Federal COBRA applies to employers who offer group health plans, and have 20 or more employees, but state laws may also apply. Wyoming law covers those employers not covered by federal COBRA. Continuation is available only to those who have been continuously insured during the entire three month period prior to termination. Coverage may continue for up to 12 months.
