Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
Nevada had a law that covered employers with less than 20 employees, but it did not include coverage for dental or vision. That law, however, was repealed effective January 1, 2014 by AB 425, with the advent of the state’s health care marketplace (exchange), the Nevada Health Link.
The state does provide for coverage while an employee or member is on leave without pay as a result of a total disability.
