Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
Missouri law covers employers with less than 20 employees, and provides for nine months of continued group health coverage with your employers group plan. Federal COBRA covers employers with 20 or more employees.
A group policy must provide that those not covered by federal COBRA, whose coverage would otherwise terminate because of termination of employment, are entitled to continue their coverage in the same manner as is required under the continuation of coverage provisions set forth in the federal COBRA, as amended.
