Wyoming has a minimum wage mandated by law, but it is lower than federal minimum wage. The state also has no law requiring overtime pay. Therefore, most employees (with some exceptions) would be covered under federal FLSA. Wyoming does define independent contractor for purposes of unemployment insurance and workers’ compensation, but not specifically wage and hour.
