Oklahoma has adopted Part 396 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs).

Part 396 applies to intrastate drivers of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating, or a gross vehicle weight or gross combination weight of 26,001 pounds or more, or transporting hazardous materials requiring the vehicle to be placarded.
