In New Hampshire, a person, while driving a moving vehicle or temporarily halted in traffic may not use a hand-held phone to:
- Initiate, receive, or conduct a conversation;
- Initiate a command or request to access the Internet; or
- Input information into a global positioning system or navigation device.
This prohibition does not apply to:
- Communication with law enforcement or other emergency services;
- Use of a Bluetooth enabled or other hands-free electronic device, or a similar device that is physically or electronically integrated into a motor, to send or receive information provided the driver does not have to divert attention from the road ahead; or
- A parked vehicle.
