In Nevada, a person may not, while operating a vehicle, use a phone to engage in voice communications with another person.
This prohibition does not apply to:
- Communication with law enforcement or other emergency services;
- Use by law enforcement and emergency personnel;
- An employee or contractor of a public utility who uses a phone to respond to an emergency; or
- A phone used with an accessory which allows the person to communicate without using hands, other than to activate, deactivate or initiate a feature or function on the device.
