Yes, if the cargo tank is also transporting gasoline that has the identification number “1203.” Under 172.336(c), a cargo tank used to transport different liquid petroleum distillate fuels, including No. 2 fuel oil, may be marked with the identification number for the distillate fuel having the lowest flash point. If gasoline is the distillate fuel with the lowest flash point, “1203” may be used as the identification number. If the cargo tank is only transporting No. 2 fuel oil, the identification number “1993” must be used.
