No. OSHA prefers to question employees privately. In fact, they have the right to do that under the OSH Act.
Employers should never interfere with the interview process in any way. The point of interviews is so OSHA can get a free exchange of information with employees about their views of the company’s safety program. An employer does not want to give any impression that they are trying to pressure workers to say something or not to say something.
