Alaska’s state requirements regarding asbestos include certification requirements for those performing “asbestos abatement work,” defined as all activities involved in Class I or Class II asbestos work under 29 CFR 1915.1001 or 29 CFR 1926.1101 and responding to a major fiber release episode.
