No special permits are needed to transport alcoholic beverages out of, through, or within Iowa. Direct wine shippers are required to obtain a Special Order Shipping License from the Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control to ship wine directly to Kansas consumers for personal or household use.

Fees

The biannual fee for the Special Order Shipping License is $100. The application fee is $30 for a new license and $10 for a license renewal. Both new and renewal applications are subject to a $20 modernization fee.
