Tennessee permits, but does not require, affirmative action plans for private employers under TN Code section 4-21-406.
Plans from private employers and all public employers must be filed and approved under TN Code section 4-21-102. State agencies must also comply with affirmative action requirements under TN Rules and Regulations section 1120-7 et seq.
