Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA) operates a state plan that incorporates federal standards by reference and also includes additional requirements. MNOSHA’s standard for elevating work platform equipment requires the use of a fall protection system that meets the standards at 1926.502(d) and (e), which is the Construction standard for fall protection, rather than 1910.140, which is the General Industry fall protection standard. Employers should ensure their fall protection system for aerial lifts meets both standards.
