North Dakota has adopted 390.15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), and amendments as they occur. Section 390.15 includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Section 390.15 applies to intrastate commercial motor vehicles with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight, and gross combination weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, or a vehicle used to transport hazardous materials requiring a placard.

Obtaining an accident report
Procedure | To obtain a copy of a state of North Dakota crash report, the requester must be able to provide two of the following three items: date of crash, last name, county of crash.
