New Jersey has adopted 390.15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), including all amendments. Section 390.15 includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Section 390.15 applies to an intrastate vehicle with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight, gross combination weight rating, or registered weight of 10,001 pounds or more, or a vehicle of any size transporting a placardable amount of hazardous materials.

| Procedure | Requests for Non-Toll Crash Reports, New Jersey Turnpike Crash Reports, Garden State Parkway Crash Reports, and Records Requests for Serious/Fatal Crashes may be obtained at: https://www.njportal.com/NJSP/CrashReports/Home/Index. Reports for accidents occurring on the Atlantic City Expressway are obtained from the specific roadway authority. |
