Nevada has adopted 390.15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), and subsequent revisions. Section 390.15 includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Section 390.15 applies to intrastate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight, gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, or gross combination weight of 26,001 or more pounds, or any vehicle transporting hazardous materials as defined in NRS 459.7024.
Accident reporting - Motor carrier
| Notification | When a driver is involved in an accident that was not investigated by a law enforcement agency, a written or electronic report of the accident must be submitted by the driver if any of the following occurred:- Death,
- Injury, or
- Property damage to any one person over $750.
