Mississippi has adopted 390.15 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), as amended. Section 390.15 includes accident recordkeeping requirements.
Section 390.15 applies to commercial motor vehicles operated in intrastate commerce with a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more or, vehicles transporting a placardable amount of hazardous materials.

Obtaining an accident report
| Procedure | A copy of a Mississippi Uniform Crash Report may be obtained from a local Highway Patrol office, or online at: https://www.ms.gov/dps/crash_reports. |
