FAQ
100 gallons of U134 (C, T) is spilled. The cleanup results in 9000 pounds of waste. The cleanup mixture does not exhibit any characteristics. Would the 100 gallons be used for a small quantity generator (SQG) determination?
Yes; since the quantity of the spilled hazardous waste is known before mixture occurs, 261.5(h) can be used. Only the 100 gallons is counted towards the SQG determination as long as the mixture does not exhibit any characteristics.
