1) The landing gear is being raised before the fifth wheel is connected.
2) The driver is spinning, not gripping, the crank handle. The preferable method is the use of two hands.
3) The driver has inappropriate work attire.
a. He may be dressed for the weather, but the sandals do not offer protection for the feet. Steel-toed shoes would be the wisest practice.
b. The shorts may keep the driver cool in a hot cab or loading dock area, but the truck has too many parts that, if bumped, would leave the driver with a serious burn.
c. If there’s not, there should be, a regulation regarding the driver’s shirt pattern! Related links
