Answer: Workplace injuries or illnesses must be reported in OSHA logs if the employee sought treatment beyond first aid. If the work environment caused or contributed to the condition or aggravated a pre-existing injury or illness, that must also be reported. An injury or illness is considered work-related if the event or exposure occurred in the work environment. OSHA provides exceptions to the definition of work-related injury in Section 1904.5(b)(2).
