- The driver is not wearing a seat belt as required under 392.16 and prescribed by state traffic laws.
- The top mirror is not adjusted properly.
- In the first photo, the bottom mirror shows a pedestrian standing behind the truck. After the driver rolls up the window (photo 2), you can see that the pedestrian is moving out of the line of vision. It would be unsafe for the driver to back up or pull forward without first checking on the status of the man.
- The driver’s window has too much clutter attached. It will interfere with the driver’s ability to see to the side and to clearly see the side mirrors. Even though most drivers want to make their cabs “homey” because they spend more time there than any other place, they must still think “safety first” when doing so.
