Can you tell if these drivers are qualified or not?

Scenario 1: Rita recently completed training and received her LCV Driver-Training Certificate, but she has not yet updated her commercial driver’s license (CDL) to reflect the certification.
Scenario 2: AJ has been working as an LCV driver since 1998 and never received an LCV Driver-Training Certificate, but has been grandfathered in.

Can you tell if these drivers are qualified or not?: Answers
Scenario 1: No. Because of LCV length and special characteristics, drivers require special training as well as a “double/triple trailer” endorsement on their CDLs.
Scenario 2: Yes. Since AJ is “grandfathered” in, this means his experience exempts him from the standard certificate. AJ must now hold an LCV Driver-Training Certificate of Grandfathering that was issued after June 1, 2004, which means he is qualified to operate LCVs.
