This standard covers methods for testing the fire-resistive properties of masonry units and of composite assemblies of building members. OSHA references NFPA 251 in 1926.152 on flammable and combustible liquids by requiring that inside storage rooms be constructed to meet the required fire-resistive rating for their use.
