If you transport hazardous materials, you know how important it is to place the right placard on your vehicle. Placards are one form of communication that let’s everyone know the hazards of the cargo you’re shipping. Study the placards and accompanying definitions below.

Class 8 Corrosive

Class 8 Corrosives are hazardous liquids that visibly damage the skin or can even eat through steel and aluminum.

Class 3 Flammable Liquid

Class 3 Flammable Liquids are liquids with a flashpoint of not more than 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

Class 2 Inhalation

Class 2 Inhalation hazards are poisonous gases at 20 degrees Celsius or less.
