This 72-hour roadside inspection blitz occurs throughout North America. It is sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators, Transport Canada, and Mexico’s Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation. Approximately 15 trucks and motorcoaches are inspected every minute during the event.
